Pembrey Circuit: The Welsh Motorsport Hub and Home of Truck Racing Action

Pembrey Circuit, also known as the Welsh Motor Sports Centre, has become a key destination for motorsport enthusiasts, offering a thrilling mix of action across a variety of racing disciplines. While it has long been recognized as a hub for grassroots motorsport in the UK, Pembrey has also become a standout venue for one of the most exciting events on the British motorsport calendar: the British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC). For teams like MV Truck Racing, Pembrey is a track where intense competition meets adrenaline-pumping action, making it an essential stop in the championship.

The 1.456-mile circuit, nestled in the picturesque Carmarthenshire countryside, provides a perfect stage for the heavy-hitting, high-speed spectacle of truck racing. With its mix of tight corners, fast straights, and technical challenges, it offers the perfect testing ground for the 1,000-horsepower machines of the BTRC, where precision and strategy are as crucial as raw power.

Pembrey is one of MV Truck Racing's favourite circuits
From WWII to Truck Racing Legacy

Pembrey Circuit’s history begins with its origins as a World War II RAF airfield. From its days as a training ground for RAF pilots, including the legendary Guy Gibson of Dambusters fame, to its current incarnation as a bustling motorsport venue, Pembrey has always been at the heart of action. After a period of dormancy, the derelict airfield was repurposed into a racing facility, and the British Truck Racing Championship has been a key part of its evolution.

For MV Truck Racing, Pembrey is not just another race—it’s a crucial opportunity to challenge for podium finishes in the BTRC. After a stellar performance in 2024, including some standout moments that saw them pushing for podium places, MV Truck Racing is looking forward to returning to Pembrey and continuing their charge for the championship in 2025.

Nothing better than racing in the Welsh sun!
For those following MV Truck Racing, Pembrey represents an important stop in the BTRC calendar. The Welsh venue allows for plenty of overtaking opportunities, and the tight, technical nature of the track offers plenty of room for skilful racing and spectacular close combat
